I Take That con l’uscita dell’album Progress, lanciano il video del singolo che si intitola ‘The Flood’. Il brano è accompagnato da un video musicale youtube che mostra di nuovo la band nella sua formazione originale: Gary, Howard, Jason, Mark e Robbie.
Di nuovo insieme e affiatati, pronti a questa nuova avventura che inizia con il brano The flood e prosegue con l’album ‘Progress’ e un tour mondiale. Il video è stato girato sia sul fiume Tamigi a Londra, che al Lago Dorney a Eton. La regia è di Mat Whitecross. La decisione di tornare insieme si è concretizzata a New York un anno fa, al termine del tour ‘The Circus’, che ha stabilito numerosi record nel Guinnes dei primati.
Il video sarebbe stato girato a Dorney Lake, nei pressi di Londra. Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange, Howard Donald e Robbie Williams erano vestiti tutti col costume tradizione da vogatore, molto simile a quello utilizzato dalle squadre di canottaggio di Oxford e Cambridge.
A un certo punto Robbie Williams si è anche gettato in acqua per farsi una nuotata. Uno spettatore ha detto al Sun: “Se la spassavano erano semplicemente cinque amici che ridevano tra loro”. “Robbie ed i ragazzi hanno dimostrato di avere una forte intesa. Era proprio come ai vecchi tempi,” ha detto il testimone. “Quando hanno finito di girare il primo giorno Robbie ha deciso che aveva bisogno di rinfrescarsi. Così è saltato direttamente nel lago. Nessun altro aveva il coraggio di unirsi a lui, l’acqua era gelida!”.
