Il brano lascia intendere la totale centralità della voce dell'artista italiana Elisa e presenta sonorità che rimandano all’album del 2003 “Lotus”, che riscosse enorme successo.
Elisa è una delle poche cantautrici italiane a scrivere la quasi totalità dei suoi testi in inglese e più raramente in italiano; occasionalmente ha cantato in spagnolo (nei brani Hablame e Sentir sin Embargo) francese e curdo. Il suo repertorio è costituito principalmente da adult alternative rock e pop rock, ma numerose sono le influenze di vari generi musicali, quali ad esempio, elettronica, ambient, trip hop post grunge, soul, Indie rock, alternative dance e soft rock.
