Con il terzo album "Flags" pubblicato lo scorso ottobre, si sta facendo conoscere in tutto il mondo (n.59 in Usa), dopo il grande successo ottenuto nel suo Paese. Figlia di un ex calciatore di rugby dal quale ha ereditato la grande passione per la nazionale degli All Blacks, questa giovane neozelandese è diventata una vera e propria star nel suo paese con la pubblicazione dei suoi due primi album.
Il suo terzo lavoro invece si intitola Flags e presto sbarcherà anche in Italia insieme al singolo che farà da apripista a questo album: Something in the water.
La canzone è una ballata ballata pop-folk, il ritmo sembra somigliare leggermente al recente successo di Lilly Allen Not fair, resa particolarmente orecchiabile dalla voce cristallina e solare dell'artista.
Una delle potenziali voci nuove per il 2011, anche se è ancora troppo presto per dare dei giudizi, che possiamo ascoltare con il video ufficiale della canzone seguito dal testo di Something in the water.
