Symphonies è ancora in onda e in televisione ed ecco il secondo singolo estratto dall'album di debutto di Dan Black da solista. La Repubblica, XL e il Corriere Della Sera hanno gia descritto Dan come uno degli artisti pop più talentuosi sulla scena. ‘Alone’, di cui vediamo il video musicale youtube, può essere considerato un mix tra gli Scritti Politti e Prince, una sicura hit e un vero e proprio highlight del talento radicale, chic e futuristico di Black. Una canzone che sembra arrivare da un altro mondo, quello unico di Dan Black.
E' già in tutti i negozi di dischi e digital store per l’etichetta Self, ((Un)) è un disco di 12 tracce di musica electro-pop dal forte sapore retro’, quasi anni ’80: il disco è stato anticipato nei giorni passati dal singolo “Symphonies“, in cui Dan Black duetta con il rapper americano Kid Cudi.
Sentiamo come descrive il suo album lo stesso cantante: “Vivo a Parigi e in Francia “un” significa uno, che sta a indicare che questo è il mio primo disco solista. Poi, in inglese, se metti “un” prima di una parola significa che non è quella cosa. Ad esempio: un-pop, un-hip hop, un-noioso e via dicendo. Se avevo la sensazione che una canzone stesse diventando troppo qualcosa, tipo troppo indie, allora la mettevo da parte. Per finire, la “u” e la “n” sono la stessa lettera rovesciata, così come in ognuna delle canzoni convivono degli elementi opposti: tristezza/allegria, aggressività/gentilezza…”
L’artista ha poi aggiunto di stare già lavorando al secondo album: “In questo momento sono nel mio studio di Parigi a fare il mio secondo album e anche a scrivere e produrre per e con altri artisti. È un momento davvero eccitante per me, ((Un)) mi ha aperto tantissime possibilità, soprattutto negli Stati Uniti, quindi sto cercando di approfittarne il più possibile. In pratica sono stato in giro per gli ultimi due anni, sono stato ovunque. Come detto, per ora sono immerso in “studiolandia”, ma stiamo valutando la possibilità di fare qualche show a breve, mi manca già! Soprattutto spero di passare in Italia, manco da troppo tempo.”
