Ricordiamo, infatti, che in tempi non sospetti gli Jamiroquai avevano dichiarato che: “sul disco tutto sarà dal vivo, perché questo è l’album di una vera band. L’ultimo, Dynamite, era buono, ma il tutto risultava un po’ artificiale. Questa volta siamo riusciti a catturare l’impatto delle nostre performance”.
Ed è proprio questo che trapela dal nuovo video di Lifeline, che potremmo definire un clip in bianco e nero a colori. Bianco e nero, perché è così che è girato l’intero video clip. Ma a colorì, perché i colori sono dati dalla musica e dalle scene; capaci di dipingere tutto ciò che gli Jamiroquai sono, sono stati e si spera continueranno ad essere.
Fulcro centrale delle scene è una sorta di palco anni 30, in cui Jam canta con stile ed eleganza. A questo, però, si alternano spezzoni di tanti altri concerti e backstage, con tanto di balli alla Jamiroquai, salti… e quant’altro. Insomma tutto il repertorio al completo.
Irriverenza, arpeggi di chitarra, trombe che regalano un swing “Jamiroqueiano” e spezzoni di vita vissuta direttamente dalla band. Insomma un po’ video e un po’ reportage, questa Lifeline non ci dispiace.
Per gli amanti dei particolari, vi ricordiamo che questo terzo singolo uscirà ufficialmente in Inghilterra solo il 24 gennaio 2011 e che gli Jamiroquai hanno comunque voluto seguire il trend di questi ultimi tempi, postando già il video sulla Rete.
Detto ciò, non ci resta che lasciarvi all’ascolto di Lifeline.
