Raggamuffin, è il nuovo singolo della giovane cantante belga Selah Sue che viene dal Belgio, ha solo ventidue anni e sta conquistando in breve tempo l’Europa. Questa canzone, è estratta dall'album di debutto intitolato "Selah Sue", pubblicato nel maggio 2011 su etichetta Because/Warner Music. Raggamuffin è un brano fresco ed estivo, dalle sonorità soul e reggae, che mettono in risalto le qualità della calda e profonda voce di Selah. Il disco, da cui è tratto il singolo, mescola melodie soul-funk reggae e rock elettrico, ispirandosi a Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu e Bob Marley, riferimenti artistici dell’artista belga. Prodotto da Farhot (Nneka) e Patrice, l’album vanta la collaborazione di Cee Lo Green, che ha accettato di duettare insieme a Selah nel brano Please, e lo ha poi inserito nel suo album ‘The lady killer’.
Non solo: Selah Sue ha conquistato anche Prince, che le ha chiesto di aprire il suo concerto ad Antwerp in Belgio. Prima di ottenere il contratto discografico, Selah Sue era una ragazza come tante che sognava di raggiungere il successo, cosa che poi è avvenuta grazie al passaparola su internet. Il videoclip di Raggamuffin è stato visto da più di un milione di utenti.
